Audac expands compact amp range

Audac has upgraded its range of compact amplifiers with the COM108, a public address mixing amplifier.

It is suitable for use with small to medium size audio systems in commercial installations such as background music systems in retail stores, bars, restaurants and office buildings.
The COM108 is designed using Class-D amplifier technology and delivers an output power of 80 Watt to constant voltage (100V and 70V) or low impedance (4 Ohm) audio systems.

Essential controls are included on the front panel and the amplifier has a stereo mini jack with a built-in automatic  switch.  This provides an easy audio source swap between the RCA in the back and the jack in front, as soon as the jack receives input.

A 15V phantom power supply accommodates high quality condenser microphones for announcements. A priority switch can override the background music when enabled. The amp can be installed in a 1HE high, half 19-in rack space.
