Apart Audio has introduced its Microphone Discussion System which is a flexible small to medium size tabletop discussion system intended for meeting rooms, board rooms and medium conference rooms.
The discussion system consists of a chairman unit in the form of the MDS.CHAIR and up to 19 delegate units in the shape of the MDS.DEL. The conference interface is the MDS.INT which is located at the beginning of the microphone chain.
The MDS system has a circuit loop design with an set-up using standard CAT5 cables for linking up to 20 units in a daisy chain. Every microphone and switching adaptor can be located anywhere in the loop.
Standard functionality is offered by the chairman unit. When the chairman presses the mute button, only the chairman unit will be active and all delegates will be muted and deactivated. On the other hand delegates can press a button to talk into the flexible gooseneck microphone but have to access to the mute functions.
The MDS.INT can connect to any of the Apart pre-amplifiers, matrixes, integrated or mixing amplifiers, allowing control for volume and use the record output for recording the meeting. Combined with one of the pre-amplifiers, REVAMP power amp series and with the Apart CMX20T or MASK4 loudspeakers voice quality can be enhanced.
