AMX switches up a gear with HDMI UTPro

AMX has released the HDMI UTPro 8x8 matrix switcher to deliver uncompressed 1920x1200 HD content up to 100m.

The full matrix switcher that delivers eight channels of HDMI, with HDCP authentication, across a network via a single UTP cable. Using AMX’s 10.2 Gigabit-per-second transmission, users can transmit HD video, audio, and control up to 100 metres without the need for repeaters. AMX HDCP InstaGate technology allows for HDMI signal switching without delays due to HDCP re-authentication and eliminates video stream interruption to existing HDMI signal paths.

It is HDMI 1.3 compatible, can support high resolution video including 1920x1080p at 60Hz and uses Valens’ HDBaseT Technology, a new standard for digital transmission. And, as a native-NetLinx device, the HDMI UTPro gives users bi-directional control, both IR and Serial, when paired with a receiver.
