AKG has unveiled its Lyra Ultra-HD multimode USB microphone, featuring 4K compatibility, Ultra HD-grade 24-bit/192kHz audio resolution alongside AKG’s adaptive capsule array which allows users to operate selectable capture modes.
An internal self-adjusting shock mount is featured with a built-in sound diffuser and AKG’s internal element overload prevention system to automatically reduce noise.
The adaptive capsule array features four capture modes, with a front and back mode capturing and blending sound together and a tight stereo mode to capture true stereo audio with left and right audio.
A wide stereo mode is also included, featuring stereo separation, room ambience and depth features.
Lyra is also compatible with Windows, Mac iOS and Android devices.
A ‘zero-latency’ headphone jack and headphone volume knob are also included to overcome delay between speaking into a microphone and hearing the signal in headphones. The microphone can also be mounted on to a traditional mic stand or microphone boom arm, with Ableton Live 10 Lite recording software being featured.
