Imago Group has joined forces with a UK translation specialist to bolster its videoconferencing offering for companies that require interpretation services.
The deal with Berkshire based Prestige Network will see the company’s linguists head to pre-existing Imago videoconferencing hubs across the UK. Then, either the client will go to another hub, where they can be linked with the interpreter, or Imago provides a videoconferencing facility at the client’s site.
Shawn Khorassani, strategy and business development director, said “Technology has always been important to Prestige Network and we are constantly looking at ways to help our customers control their costs. Video conferencing as a technology cuts travel and time and also delivers cost savings. It is a very accurate alternative to face-to-face interpreting.”
Ian Vickerage, managing director at Imago Group, said: “For interpreters, who rely on being able to see and hear, video conferencing will broaden the range of assignments they can become involved in both in the UK and internationally, and for Prestige Network and its clients, the use of videoconferencing will vastly reduce travel and accommodation costs, and save time.”
