Toshiba says it will release a glasses-free 3D display in Japan by the end of the year.
The REGZA GL1 series boasts two models with screen sizes of 12” and 20”, the 12GL1 and 20GL1 respectively.
Toshiba says it has used an integral imaging system and a perpendicular lenticular sheet to obviate the need for glasses. The company’s image processing technology creates nine parallax images from the original content to create 3D images that can be enjoyed from wide viewing angles.
