Greek systems integrator Telmaco has played a pivotal role in the remodeling of iconic Africa Hall, home of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
The project was inaugurated by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on October 21.
Africa Hall, a symbol of unity and progress for Africa, holds a distinguished legacy as the birth place of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) in 1963, laying the groundwork for today’s African Union.
As a technology partner, Telmaco delivered AV systems to ensure that this iconic space is fully equipped for the digital era, while honoring its role in shaping the future of Africa.
Telmaco was awarded the contract in 2022 after an international tender for implementation design, procurement of goods, implementation services and maintenance contract for the Audiovisual and Conference systems. These include conference & interpretation by Taiden, Barco LED videowall, AV over IP and control automation systems by Extron, cameras by Grass Valley, Biamp DSP, mixer and PTZ heads by Ross, loudspeakers by Fohhn, IPTV and signage by Vitec, PA and background music by Bosch, and an exhibition with interactive screens, video walls and large multi projection systems by Barco.
