Uni-President Starbucks, a joint venture of Uni President China Holdings and the Starbucks Coffee Company, has installed a Bosch sound systems in all of its stores in Shanghai as well as in the Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces.
A total of 200 existing stores were upgraded. The solution chosen comprises of a Plena economy (PLE) mixer amplifier and several cabinet loudspeakers for indoor and outdoor use. The same sound system will also be used in the 300 new stores that are expected to open in the course of this year.
The Plena public address system is made for small to mid-sized venues and also allows for zoning of areas. Store personnel can feed music into each system e.g. from a computer or an mp3 player. Wall panels allow the staff to comfortably control zones and volumes of the sound system remotely.
