Projection becomes a battleground at Cop26 summit
A battle has been fought out at the Cop26 venue in Glasgow over outdoor projection. A guerrilla protest by an environmental group called the Gastivists involved them projecting slogans onto the official venue such as 'End Fracking' and 'Cut Methane Now'.

The protest happened late on Tuesday (9 November), and was countered by the event’s official projectionist, who projected their own messages on top of the guerrilla messages with their own saying 'Go Away' in large red letters.

“It was quite a surreal thing to see,” Neal Huddon-Cossar, a Gastivist campaigner from Rome told The Guardian newspaper. “It was quite comical really because in the end they just give us a big story to run with and made our projections appear much more attractive and dramatic because they had some pretty pretty cool backgrounds. But it was quite apparent that they were trying to block out our images.”
