Project Manager of the Year finalists revealed
After careful consideration, six finalists have been chosen to be in contention for the Consultant/Project Manager of the Year award at this year’s InAVation Awards in recognition of their personal contribution to outstanding AV projects in EMEA.

A panel of AV experts narrowed a large pool of entries down to six standout submissions, with the winner to be announced at next month’s 10th edition of the InAVation Awards.

Independent consultant Harel Tabibi is one of the six finalists in consideration of his work managing the installation of an upgraded audio system at The Knesset, home to the Israeli parliament and host to several ceremonies and receptions.

Gorkem Celikbilek has also made the shortlist of finalists on behalf of his work at Asimetrik Sound, Lighting and Visual Systems Co.. Celikbilek ensured the smooth-running installation of a new audio system at the 68,700-seat Baku National Stadium in Azerbaijan in time for hosting the European Games Opening Ceremony and part of the games.

Representing AV-Huset, project manager Lasse Werner has been selected for his work co-ordinating a range of companies in the installation of over 50 projectors to create life-like projections of prisoners at the award-winning Faengslet Prison Museum in Denmark.

Head of IT at Chester Zoo, Martin King, is in the running after overseeing the installation of a scalable networked audio soundscape and a 360-degree projection to offer an immersive experience to visitors of the zoo’s Islands attraction.

Hartmann Mathias und Partner’s Detlef Hartmann has been chosen for his involvement in planning the installation of preview cinema, conference rooms and reception area at film and TV production company UFA’s headquarters.

With over 30 years in the experience, Ray Sappal of Visual Systems Sales is in contention for his work managing multiple high-profile projects across different markets, as well as his efforts nurturing young engineering talent through AV youth training schemes.

Last year’s accolade was awarded to Sami Nazzal [pictured] from International New Technical Est (INTE), for his work implementing theatre installations in the ME region. 

The winner of the Consultant/Project Manager of the Year Award will be announced at InAVation Awards on February Tuesday 9, 2016, at the Gashouder, Westergasfabriek, in Amsterdam.
