The CES 2025 show in Las Vegas has seen the introduction of Portalgraph, VR projector technology that projects VR spaces onto a screen.
The aim to is 'transform VR spaces into places where anyone can easily and freely participate'.
Portalgraph can be projected in a variety of environments;
1) on a screen
2) PC desktop
3) on a tabletop
4) on a 3D display
Portalgraph is also suitable for displaying live-action content using 360° cameras. Portalgraph can display spaces with depth that cannot be expressed with domed screens.
Portalgraph-enabled apps can be developed in Unity software.
To use Portalgraph you will need a 3D projector (ultra-short-throw projectors are recommended), 3D glasses, VIVE tracker, VIVE base station and a PC.
Once the software is incorporated, the screen immediately becomes a VR space.
The system also supports web camera tracking and red and blue 3D glasses, so users can experience VR space with a regular PC.
