Polycom has published the results of a survey it conducted in Spring 2012 into the attitudes of 400 business leaders across the UK, France, Germany and Russia towards flexible working practices.
The research was carried out by Redshift, and drew several interesting conclusions.
66% of business decision makers say flexible working has a bigger impact than cutting operational costs.
72% of business decision makers believed that video conferencing increases employee productivity.
42% of respondents believe that allowing staff flexible working opportunities makes the business more productive overall.
Now, clearly this research has been conducted with the aim of encouraging businesses to invest in its video collaboration products, but despite that it does provide an insight into the mindset of business leaders and plenty of ammunition should you be in the business of selling such equipment or services.
