PLASA offers Dante training seminar
It has been announced that PLASA 2016 will feature a free training event on the opportunities Dante offers audio professionals on Tuesday September 20, 2016.

Hosted by Kieran Walsh, regional manager for Global Support Services at Audinate, the seminar will explore how the networking protocol can assist systems ranging from small applications in retail to large multi-console events and multi-zone installations, and provide Dante Level 1 and Level 2 training. Liam Haplin will also speak on how to deploy Dante networks in live events.

The event will take place from 10 am to 3.30pm in the Apex room at the Olympia exhibition centre in London and is recommended for integrators, design consultants and sound engineers. Certified Technology Specialists will earn four RU credits for attending.

“The seminar day will give a great opportunity to gain a greater insight into Dante Audio Networking Technology, which has become the de-facto standard in connecting uncompressed, highly synchronous, low-latency audio network devices,” said Walsh.

He added: “Attendees will be able to get training that will help in taking the Dante Certified exams, discover how some of the largest live productions have used Dante to deliver audio, in combination with rich control all over a standards-based IP network, get hands on with Dante enabled equipment provided by our sponsor manufacturers, ask questions, and experiment with setups at our table top demo sessions.”

PLASA 2016 takes place from September 18 to 20 at Olympia London. Prospective attendees can register for the event online.
