Following the initial announcement of Northamber’s acquisition of Audio Visual Material (AVM) in December 2019, Northamber has announced that the acquisition of the company has now been completed.
The acquisition follows Northamber’s strategy of focusing on growing its ‘value add distribution’ business, with AVM complementing Northamber’s existing AV division while continuing to function as a separate entity under the Northamber Group.
Alexander Philips, director of strategy, Northamber said: “This acquisition further accelerates our existing organic plans to become the Value Add AV distributor of choice. AVM has a strong team, loyal customers and counts a number of specialist AV vendors among its portfolio which only adds more technical credentials around our complete AV offering.”
AVM will continue to be led by existing managing director Mark Nisbet, with the senior management of AVM remaining with the company following the acquisition.
Mark Nisbet, managing director, Audio Visual Material added: “AVM’s acquisition by Northamber presents exciting opportunities for AVM, its customers and suppliers.
"We have an aggressive growth plan, focused on maintaining a specialist approach and providing the highest standard with customer care. Our customers will see the benefits of the increased investment in AVM and our infrastructure, whilst retaining the things they like most about AVM - the team, the specialism and the personal service.”
