NEC Display Solutions says that its NEC Solutions Showcase event saw more than 50% growth compared to last year’s show.
The 2012 event, which took place on April 25th, saw more than 850 visitors (a 50% increase on 2011) experience demonstrations put on by NEC’s range of 47 partner companies. The event also featured two new zones focused on retail and transport solutions.
Simon Jackson, VP NEC Display Solutions UK said that the popularity of the event would ensure that even more innovation will be on display at NEC Solutions Showcase 2013:
“Thinking ahead to next year we will again be focused on getting the end users to see for themselves what’s new in their sector, and we already have plans to introduce one or two new zones as we see the market developing. The key is to remain focused on each vertical sector so we provide real depth and make the show much more experiential.
“Of course, we’re delighted with the attendance at this year’s event, and we strongly feel that a 50 per cent growth rate on last year reflects how the Showcase’s unique nature has provided a compelling medium for growth within the displays industry. More than half of Showcase attendees this year were end-users, many of whom represented blue-chip organisations. We feel that the event has played a key role in strengthening many of our relationships with existing partners, while some of the solutions on display have already inspired some large corporate companies we’ve spoken to and prompted even further partner engagement.â€
My personal view of the event is that is now a must attend date in the pro AV calendar for the UK. NEC does a great job of attracting the right people to a highly polished showcase. The addition in particular of The Screen seminars means that there are some serious end user attendees in the important out of home space, alongside more traditional AV integration firms.
