Messe Frankfurt has announced the launch of Prolight + Sound Middle East 2016 to capitalise on growth in the Middle East and Africa AV market. The event will take place from October 31 to November 2, 2016 at Dubai’s International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The international trade and networking event will showcase AV products and services for the entertainment, events, creation and media industries.
According to Infocomm, the AV industry in the Middle East and Africa is forecast to grow by 13 percent annually, totaling a value of US$4.63 billion this year.
The UAE is reportedly the world’s fastest growing region, projected to increase from US$700 million in 2012 to US$1.24 billion in 2016.
“With the region set to host large-scale international gatherings such as the Dubai Expo 2020 and the FIFA World Cup 2022, demand for technology and high-quality sound and light products is on the increase from event organisers, retail chains and venue operators,” commented Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of Messe Frankfurt Middle East.
