AV consultant macom has formed a strategic alliance with media and visualisation specialist NIYU media projects that will see the NIYU change its name to macomNIYU.
The deal between the two German companies took effect on June 30, 2017. Berlin based NIYU specialises in temporary installations and will pool its resources within the macom group.
Björn Jensen, managing director of macom, said: “NIYU has an experience of the market of temporary installations so far not to be had within macom group. With this reinforcement, macom group now unites 65 highly experienced engineers with a unique expertise for the specialist planning of AV technology, acoustics and lighting for fixed installations and temporary projects.”
The two companies, which combined have more than 2,000 successful projects under their belts, remain autonomous. A new joint position for sales and marketing responsibilities has been created to boost market development.
