Looking Glass Factory reveals 65-in 8K holographic display
Looking Glass Factory has revealed its largest light field display to date measures in at a whopping 65-in and shows glasses-free 3D images in 8K to groups of 50 people.

Generating up to 100 different perspectives of 3D content, the Looking Glass 65-in 3D display was demonstrated behind closed doors at the Augmented World Expo event, held June 1 to 3, 2022.

It has a 16:9 aspect ratio, is less than 8cm thick, and has plugins for several software applications including Unity, Unreal and Blender.

At five times larger than other holographic displays, it is suited to larger group experiences and XR specialist Springbok Entertainment will use it to premiere its new holographic documentary Zanzibar: Trouble in Paradise at film festival Tribeca 2022.

There’s no word as to how much the display will cost but it’s available for pre-order now.

Looking Glass Factory also recently revealed its holographic media embed that allows people to share 3D holograms virtually anywhere on the internet, across any device, with a single link. Check it out below.
