LG announces restructure and new mobile CEO
LG Electronics has named a new CEO for its LG Home Entertainment and LG Mobile Communications companies. Juno Cho will replace the current CEO Park Jong-seok, who is stepping down after suffering health problems. Park Jong-seok will stay at LG, and take on the role of chief technology advisor, to assist Cho as CEO.


Cho was head of LG mobile business strategy and sales and marketing for North America in 2000 to 2007.

LG has also announced the merger of its Home Appliance and Air Conditioning & Energy Solution business units to create a consolidated LG Home Appliance & Air Solution (H&A) Company.

Seong-jin Jo, president and CEO of the LG Home Appliance Company, will assume responsibility of the newly created H&A division.

Additional job news from the Korean manufacturer see Kwon bong-suk, previously the head of the LG synergy division, promoted to executive VP and CEO of LG Home Entertainment.  His mission for next year is to put LG-made OLED TVs on the map by cooperating closely with group affiliate LG Display.
