New York based signage owner Inwindow Outdoor is testing a new interactive digital signage solution known as the Experience Station across a number of locations including malls and hotels. The devices, which are developed in partnership with Intel, combine large format touch displays with other interactive technologies such as near field communications (NFC) and motion capture.
In the video, Techcrunch Editor Erick Schonfield puts one through its paces demonstrating some of interactive features and services it offers. Overall the presentation is very slick, with the interface looking extremely responsive.
Schonfield himself makes some good points about content, right up until the point where he mentions our favourite film.. I’m not going to even type its name.
