Integrator IDNS launches new brand identity

Integrator IDNS launches new brand identity
AV, IT and infrastructure provider, IDNS, has launched a new brand identity as part of its continued growth.

The launch of the new IDNS brand began with a virtual launch event for key customers and senior industry figures. The launch provided the managing directors, David Shuttleworth (pictured above) and Darren Clayman (pictured below) an opportunity to give the attendees an insight into the history of IDNS, introduce the new brand mission, vision and company values.

To celebrate, IDNS are giving back to the organisations that have helped them get where they are today by providing a £25,000 prize giveaway. The competition, which runs throughout May, is open for anyone to enter but prizes can only be won by education establishments.

David Shuttleworth, one of the managing directors at IDNS, explains how they’ve had to move their launch due to Covid-19: “Originally this brand launch was planned for April 2020. However, when the pandemic hit, our priority as a business was to ensure that we were there to support our staff, customers and communities.”

“This support ranged from providing essential IT hardware, such as headsets and laptops, to our NHS customers, right through to providing specialist AV equipment into education for remote teaching and learning. We were also proud to run several initiatives to support charities helping to ensure children had access to meals and technology when families were struggling.”

Working alongside key partners such as Clevertouch, Epson, InVentry and Quadra there are three prizes available to be spent with IDNS on technology:

·       First prize - £12,500

·       Second prize - £7,500

·       Third prize - £5,000

The technology available as part of the prizes focuses on improving learning outcomes and collaboration in a post Covid-19 world. Each winner will get the same consultative approach that is delivered to every IDNS customer, providing them with expert advice, design, installation and onsite training.

To enter the competition, entrants must input the correct code via the IDNS website. To obtain the code, they must visit a series of websites and collect a piece of the code. Once the entrant has collected all the pieces, they return to the IDNS website, enter the combination; and fill in the form to be in with a chance of winning.

The final piece of the new brand identity is the introduction of new company strapline “Technology that Matters”. Commenting on the new strapline, Managing Director, Darren Clayman said:  “We didn’t want to change the name of the company as the IDNS brand is already synonymous with exceptional account management and customers service along with market leading technology solutions. What we did want to do is make sure that everyone clearly understands who we are, what we do and why we’re here.”

Since a management buyout was completed by Shuttleworth and Clayman in 2019, IDNS is on track to surpass £35million for the first time in the history of the company. In 2021 IDNS has also:

·       Completed their largest ever capital project, a £3.5million project with Waites Construction and HRMC

·       Ranked number one for large AV projects on the NEUPC, LUPC, SUPC and HEPCW frameworks, the largest university framework in the country

·       Become the only named supplier for both IT and AV on the NHS Shared Business Services Framework and the Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) framework

·       Recruited more than 10 new members of staff to support their growth and are still recruiting.

The ongoing success of the company is in part down to the solid foundations on which IDNS are built, as Clayman explains:

“David has been here almost from the start and knows the business inside out. He has worked in every department but has spent the last 10 years running the finances and administration, keeping us financially strong.”

“My background is in AV and I actually started the AV division over 15 years ago. Since then, we’ve redefined what it means to be an integrator by adding IT hardware, software, networking and infrastructure to our solutions, therefore it was important that we had a brand that reflected who we are today. We’re not just an AV or IT company, we’re a full technology solutions provider.”

With a new brand, increased turnover and continued growth the future looks very bright for IDNS.

“Over the last few years, we have been investing heavily in the infrastructure of IDNS to enable us to grow and develop. We’re now starting to reap the rewards of that effort and the new brand gives us the vehicle to communicate clearly the values of IDNS. I’ve been with IDNS for over 30 years, and I’ve never been more excited about what the future holds and the difference we can make.” said Shuttleworth.

Clayman closed by saying: “Everyone associated with IDNS is extremely proud of how far we have come in recent years. The brand launch has given us the perfect opportunity to celebrate what we’ve achieved, at the same time as giving thanks to the people who have been with us on our journey and helped us get where we are today.”
