Ingram Micro pumps credit into UK market
Ingram Micro (UK) is pumping more credit into the market with an expansion of its CreditBuilder programme that will increase the amount of eligible customers as well as the amount they can borrow.

The wholesaler of technology products and supply chain management services launched the original Credit Builder programme in 2008.

Qualifying resellers can build a credit facility up to £100k in a 12-month period. Resellers must utilise the facility in order to enable a regular staged increase in the limit, and payments must be agreed by direct debit, with a flexible date and frequency to optimise reseller cashflow.

"Over the next 12 months we are expecting to build available channel credit for participating resellers in this programme from the current £80m level to £150m," said Matt Sanderson, managing director of Ingram Micro. "At the same time, we expect to introduce CreditBuilder to an additional 900 customers who have not yet taken advantage of the offering.

"Once again we are offering more monthly credit in the SMB segment, and bringing the potential for short-term growth and long term development to even more resellers."
