InfoComm International has put AV and IT convergence at the top of the agenda as it prepares to return to the UK and Ireland with its regional roundtable events.
The events will kick-off on May 24 in Edinburgh with subsequent roundtables on May 26 in Dublin and June 7 in London. The association will use the platform to present its perspective of the “migration of audiovisual technology to the network”.
Findings from a “Cross Industry Summit Summary Report”, compiled by InfoComm and CompTIA (the Computing Technology Industry Association), will also be presented.
Chris Lavelle, regional manager of InfoComm UK and Ireland, said AV and IT convergence would be a major global theme for InfoComm this year.
“We want to make our members aware of the challenges that lie ahead, while encouraging them to see this trend as an opportunity that is there to be exploited,” said Lavelle.
The Edinburgh event will be at the Ramada Mount Royal Hotel before heading to the Red Cow Moran Hotel in Dublin and the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London.
