Increased UK education spend forecast
The British educational suppliers association (BESA) has published its market performance outlook report for January – March 2011, which predicts a £3m rise in spending compared to the same period the year before.

Whilst the 2010-2011 financial year has seen a fall as a whole of some 3.5 per cent, the final quarter of the period is anticipated to show a moderate increase in ICT expenditure. The report suggests that primary education will see a total technology spend of £48.2m, and the secondary sector will hit the £26.2m mark.
Organisers of the BETT Show, to be held in London from January 12-15, 2011, see this as an encouraging sign for the 700 exhibitors booked at the event.
