Impact, a UK based audiovisual specialist and digital media service provider, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management Systems (QMS).
The qualification, granted by the NQA, is designed to provide companies with a framework and set of principles that promote a common sense approach to the management of business activities.
ISO 9001 is underpinned by eight management principles:
- customer focused
- organisation leadership
- involvement of people
- ensuring a process approach
- a systematic approach to management
- a factual approach to decision making
- mutually beneficial supplier relations
- continuous improvement
Impact is working towards certifications for information security (ISO 27001), IT service management (ISO 20000), health and safety (18001) and environmental management systems (ISO 14001) to the standard.
The company was already certified under ISO 9001: 2000 standard.
