Heathrow Airport in London has installed glasses-free 3D as part of a trial to help cut passenger delays in designated security areas.
The project has introduced the auto-stereoscopic 3D system to catch the interest of travellers who pass through hand luggage security checkpoints prior to entering the boarding terminals.
The no-glasses 3D technology provided by Exceptional 3D and being trialed at Heathrow has been installed to reduce passenger delay within the security areas prior to entering Terminal 1.
The 3D technology acts as a part of the security checkpoint process in an effort to reduce the amount of items passengers may have inadvertently packed in their 'carry on' which should be disposed of prior to boarding.
