Fujifilm demonstrates flexible loudspeaker technology

AUTHOR: Inavate

At Nano Tech 2013 in Tokyo, Fujifilm has demonstrated a prototype of a thin flexible loudspeaker technology. Unlike previous thin film speaker technologies, this device resists acoustic distortions normally created by bending the surface because its elasticity is dependant on the frequency of sound being played through it, a quirk of the physical make up of the film. The video from Diginfo shows the film folded into a variety of complex shapes.
