Fraunhofer COMEDD has been announced as a new research institution focusing on OLED and solar technology.
Formerly part of Fraunhofer IPMS, COMEDD (Center for Organic Materials and Electronic Devices Dresden), is now an independent group in its own right. It will be tasked with transferring the results of research and development in the fields of organic materials and systems into production.
Fraunhofer views OLED research as one of the key areas of technology development in the near future, with applications ranging from solar power generation to micro-display devices.
