Exertis joins neurodiversity business industry forum
Exertis has announced that it has become a member of the Neurodiversity in Business (NiB) industry forum, achieving level one of the disability confident employer status.

The organisation aims to draw upon the cumulative knowledge of neurodivergent experts in the workplace, allowing companies to share best practice and improve the experience and employment of neurodivergent employees.

Exertis is also introducing sunflower lanyard across its sites for individuals who may have a hidden or visible disability, providing a visual aide that can indicate individuals who may need more assistance and provide additional support.

Level one of the disability confident employer status provides employers with the knowledge and skills to attract, recruit, retain and develop neurodivergent individuals in the workplace, with Exertis introducing an ‘Enable’ employee resource group which aims to provide a safe space for disabled colleagues, neurodivergent employees and carers within the business.

Tim Griffin, CEO, Exertis IT, commented: “We recognise the need to cultivate a workforce which is both diverse and inclusive of every background, and the rich, talented skillset which this brings to our organisation. I’m thrilled that so many advancements have taken place recently to support this ethos, and I am grateful for the efforts of our Enable ERG and their allies to ensure that Exertis’ dedication to this area continues to deliver progress.”
