Disguise and ASB GlassFloor announce LED sports courts partnership
Disguise and ASB GlassFloor have partnered to bring digital platforms to sports courts, enabling improved real-time player and ball tracking.

The partnership will see Disguise’s platform combine with ASB GlassFloor’s LED court technology and software to display live positions, movement and speed, enabling coaches to analyse performances and greater immersion for fans.

The technology will enable venues to become multi-purpose entertainment spaces by offering AR floor experiences through interactive games and advertisements at halftime.

This is accomplished through ASB GlassFloor’s operational systems for its digital courts, Glasscourt OS, feeding directly into Disguise’s servers. This allows ASB GlassFloor to enable venues to access media servers that feed interactive content directly to the floor.

The partnership will see the Disguise platform used exclusively on all ASB Arena and Event Services floors, as well as ASB GlassFloor sports courts and activations, including the NBA All Star Weekend, FIBA Basketball Champions League Final 4, and the EuroLeague, as well as the company’s own facility in Orlando.

Both companies are co-developing a suite of applications built to offer fans AR games and interactive halftime experiences that can be enjoyed from any part of the arena. The applications can also allow venues to use the floor for training, competition, fan engagement, and non-game-day activations such as AI-assisted defenders in basketball coaching, traffic safety applications for children, and live TV productions.

Christof Babinsky, CEO, ASB GlassFloor, commented: “Through initiatives like our ASB GlassFloor Athletes Lab, we’ve already helped NBA coaches draw plays on their iPad, and see them instantly show up on the digital court floor, alongside real-time player data.

“By partnering with Disguise, we aim to take things even further. We previously worked with Disguise on an interactive LED court at the NBA’s All Star Weekend in 2024 and other events. Following the huge success of these activations, we hope to unify venue AV across more LED floors, banners, jumbotrons, lights and sound so they can be driven from a single system in the future.”
