Brompton has established a virtual training platform to continue providing access to the company’s training programme to its global customer base.
The platform was set up by Steve Harris, technical support specialist, Brompton, providing training videos from Harris’ home office at the height of the pandemic and adapting the training room at Brompton’s Ealing headquarters with the support team to provide a more comprehensive training format.
The training room features an INFiLED DB2.6 LED screen and a Brompton Tessera SX40 processor, as well as developing a new environment to demonstrate the Brompton user interface with interactive ‘explainer’ pages to cover common topics.
Harris commented: “The platform is proving incredibly useful. For example, if a customer is having an issue remotely, instead of sending them an email, we can now set up a meeting to show them how to resolve the problem in real time, or even do a quick screen recording video for them.”
The virtual course takes place in two-hour segments, with plans to schedule streams on Twitch each month to allow questions to be asked in real time.
