AV Stumpfl’s Pixera allows India’s Sun Temple to shine brightly, celebrating the Modhera village’s efforts to deliver 24/7 solar power.

A 3D projection show, run entirely by solar power, has been created at the village’s holy Sun Temple, dedicated to the Hindu solar deity, Surya.

Modern Stage Services (Projects) were tasked with production a multimedia, 3D projection mapping show about the past, present and future of the temple, requiring state-of-the-art equipment for the project.

Five Christie D20WU-HS projectors were installed alongside weatherproof, outdoor architectural lights from Harman Professional, illuminating the temple’s façade to create a mirror effect in the body of water that stands ahead of the temple.

All content was delivered via AV Stumpfl’s Pixera media server software, delivering 8K real-time rendering with 2D and 3D projection mapping workflows.

Pratik Wadhwa, CEO, Modern Stage Services (Projects), commented: “The pre-visualisation feature helps us deliver our ideas to the clients.

“With this tool, clients are able to fully envisage the end result before we start working on-site which is an invaluable tool for us.”
