AtlasIED’s Atmosphere manages sound leakage at ice rink
Zinkensdamms IP, a sports venue and ice-skating rink in downtown Stockholm, turned to integrator Dat to help it install a system that could control audio levels.

The facility is covered by an inflatable dome that is not soundproof and leakage into surrounding areas disturbed nearby neighbours in the evening.

Dat turned to AtlasIED’s Atmosphere platform, installing Atmosphere AZM4, a four-zone digital signal processor, to control the audio distribution and create four zones. Each zone is now limited to a maximum audio level of 87dB. An Atmosphere C-V volume controller was also installed rinkside to provide local volume control, while an Atmosphere A-BT Bluetooth wall audio input allows personnel with access to the system to connect their phone via the A-BT to stream music.

A second AZM4 was installed in the operations room, connected through AtlasIED1544AIO-D Dante converters that interface with the fire alarm system.

Dat can also now access the system remotely to provide service while keeping costs to minimum of the ice rink operators.
