Absen has signed Sidev (part of the Midwich group), Alabama Média and Audica in three distribution deals covering France and Finland.
The deals, struck at and shortly after ISE 2016, are aimed to strengthen Absen’s European foothold. Ruben Rengel, managing director of Absen Europe, said: “ISE was proof of the fact that we have succeeded in consolidating a strong base in Europe, and we are extremely excited to see just how far we will develop by ISE 2017.”
Marc Breuillier, sales manager at French distributor Sidev, said: “As a pioneer in cutting edge AV solutions, Sidev is delighted to become an Absen distributor for fixed installs in the French market.”
“[Absen’s] products will find a strategic position in our LED catalogue, which includes processing and transmission solutions, as well as accessories required by our integrators.”
The second deal was with Alabama Média, a French rental and staging specialist. Joël May, technical director at Alabama Média, said: “Over the last decade, Alabama Média has been dedicated to supplying LED and SMD screen technologies for the event and stating market. Absen meets all our distribution and quality requirements and we are delighted to partner with them on the distribution of LED panels.”
Finally, Absen also signed Finnish AV distributor Audico after collaborating with the company at the AudioVisual tradeshow in Helsinki at the end of last year.
“The sheer amount of interest that we received for Absen solutions at AudioVisual last year paved the way for a co-operation between Absen and Audico,” said Audico managing director, Harri Leiva. “It has already proved to be a great move for both parties, and we see a bright future for Absen in Finland.”
