Extendable audio

A.F.S Engineering showcases its audio installation at Hall A of Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS). In particular the company highlights how it ensured flexibility was ensured for the installed system.

The Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS), located in Kuala Lumpur has ample space and facilities for a multitude of purposes including seminars and exams. Recently, the institute called upon A.F.S. Engineering to upgrade the audio capabilities of one of its premises. The project, worth MYR600,000 (approximately USD160,000) began in July 2014 and was completed near the end of the year.

Hall A is a large open area which is roughly rectangular in shape with slanted walls at the sides and a steeple roof. The hall can be partitioned into three separated spaces or can be utilized as one large, continuous space.

Khairil Anuar, project engineer at A.F.S. Engineering explains: “The end user expected a ?exible sound reinforcement system to serve the three partitions of the exhibition hall individually and also serve them when they are being used as one hall.” The dimensions and usage scenarios of Hall A meant that designing the upgraded sound system was not a simple task. RMZ Perunding was the consultant overseeing the project.
