Samsung introduces biggest Onyx LED display yet
Samsung has introduced a 14 metre Onyx Cinema LED display at CinemaCon 2026, delivering the same core performance and reliability as its 5 m and 10 m versions.

Designed for use in larger premium theatres, the new 14 metre standard size for the Onix cinema LED range was unveiled at CinemaCon 2026, expanding the platform into large scale, premium auditoriums.

The new model is designed for premium large format (PLF) theatres, delivering the same picture quality and scalability of the Onyx platform at a larger scale. Support for up to 4K 120Hz is available with new features for the 14 m format including 3.3mm pixel pitch and scaling support for up to 20 metres, more than doubling the total screen area. Individual LED cabinets can be added to the sides and bottom to achieve the desired size in floor-to-ceiling setups.

Hyoung Jae Kim, executive vice president of the visual display business, Samsung Electronics, commented: “People go to premium theatres for something they cannot recreate at home.

“That raises the bar for every part of the auditorium, starting with the screen. Samsung’s new 14-metre Onyx gives exhibitors a way to bring the premium experience to larger auditoriums, helping turn moviegoing into a superior, immersive experience.”
