Due to the expansion of the German market Mipro has established a German office, Mipro Germany GmbH, in Hardthausen.
The company opened the office at the beginning of April and has hired a pro audio veteran, Hartmut Reichert, as its managing director.
Reichert set up and led the European sales and marketing office for Shure in Chicago, USA, establishing a European sales and marketing office from the company’s European base in Heilbronn, Germany between 1991 and 1999. He subsequently worked for Beyerdynamic, setting up an international sales, marketing and distribution program with responsibility for adding several companies, including Mipro to the German company’s distribution portfolio.
In 2008 Hartmut joined the US-based amplifier and loudspeaker manufacturer QSC Audio as their sales manager for the European, Africa & Middle East (EAME) territories. During the last two years he gained some business experience in the German electronic and computer business.
Reichert’s technical background, combined with his long term market experience in the European audio territories, leaves him well positioned to take up the new challenge with Mipro.
K.C. Chang, CEO of Mipro, said: "This is another exciting step for Mipro in the region and we are very pleased to welcome Harmut to the team. We have known and work with him in the past and admired his hands-on business acumen for a long time. He brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge in the wireless microphone and wireless PA business."
Reichert said: "I have followed the company’s development in the market for many years and have been enormously impressed by how they have developed from being a well-known manufacturer of wireless microphones, to becoming one of the most innovative and expanding systems companies in the industry. I am delighted to be joining them."
With this change, Mipro will part ways with distributor Beyerdynamic.
