L-Acoustics has announced the launch of its AES Dr. Christian Heil Future of Sound scholarship to mark the 35th anniversary of its founding, granting a stipend of $5,000 USD annually to graduate students with AES membership in the field of audio engineering.
The first Dr. Christian Heil Future of Sound scholarship was awarded to Ben Creelman, a student at the McGill University, who is pursuing a master in music with a focus on sound recording.
The scholarship derives its name from L-Acoustics founder Dr. Christian Heil, who presented the Wavefront Sculpture Technology paper at the 111th AES Convention in New York, USA will be awarded annually to students who demonstrate “curiosity and dedication to shaping the future of sound.”
