VC and AV specialist Dekom has expanded into Belgium after pinpointing the country as having the lowest density of video conferencing users in western Europe.
Dekom Belgium is based in central Brussels and managed by Martin van Heukelum and Björn Heisterkamp.
Heisterkamp said: "We see a tremendous opportunity in this market. Belgium is characterized as a very international market, with a healthy mix of large industrial multinationals, dispersed offices of small and medium sized organisations and governmental organs, especially near our office, in the heart of the European Community."
Van Heukelum adds: "Infrastructure is rapidly improving, Belgium paves a way for professional video communication and we clearly see a role for Dekom to provide appropriate products and services."
Jörg Weisflog, CEO at Dekom believes the time is ripe for the Belgian expansion. “Belgium has the lowest density of video conferencing users in western Europe, and an incredible high amount of international business flights and traffic between major cities,†he said. “We call it our duty to help professional companies with professional solutions to enable collaboration across locations."
