dBTechnologies provides multifunctional PA for Van Maerlant Lyceum Eindhoven
As part of a modernisation project, a multifunctional audio system from dBTechnologies has been installed in a new aula space at the Van Maerlant Lyceum Eindhoven in the Netherlands, designed for a variety of uses ranging from music performances to speech applications. The installation was carried out by Dutch AV integrator GISB Audiovisueel, in collaboration with the dBTechnologies team.

The client’s goal was to create a flexible, user-friendly space suitable for both professional and community use. The usage concept for the auditorium at the Van Maerlant Lyceum was challenging and required careful consideration during the technical planning phase.

The Lyceum wanted to use its hall as a professional theatre, so the setup needed to be suitable for a variety of user groups. On the one hand, professional technicians seek full control over the system; on the other hand, students also need to be able to use the space with ease. At the same time, there was a desire to equip the hall with stage sets, additional lighting, and stage curtains.

Whether for musical performances, presentations, or school events, the audio system had to deliver clarity, coverage, and adaptability.

To meet these demands, GISB designed and implemented a dBTechnologies system consisting of two main hangs, each consisting of 1x VIO S115 flyable subwoofers for the main front-of-house reinforcement. 5x VIO X206 compact two-way speakers for even sound distribution throughout the gallery, 2x VIO X205 as delay speakers, ensuring consistent coverage throughout the entire space.
