Carillion Communications appointed as Microsoft’s first Surface Hub authorised service partner.
UK-based AV integrator Carillion Communications has been appointed as Microsoft’s first official Surface Hub ASP (Authorised Service Partner).

Dee Reed, Carillion MD said; "As a business we are delighted to have our technical abilities recognised by Microsoft. Not only as it is always exciting to be the first globally, but it rewards the commitment the whole company have made to Surface Hub since day one not only in sales, but engineering and service delivery."

As part of the certification the Carillion Communications Service Group undertook extensive technical, diagnostic and operational training on Microsoft systems, tools, hardware and software.

The goal of the ASP programme is to provide a frictionless, quick, and effective escalation process for customers to receive warranty repairs on Surface Hub. This includes full board level fault diagnosis replacing components including the SSD, PSU Compute modules as part of the standard Commercial Support process.

Carillion will be carrying out all warranty services on customer Surface Hub devices through their existing internal client service desk, integrating with Microsoft’s Service Portal to ensure device genealogy. Coverage length may vary by country and depend on whether they are bundled or stand-alone.

Barrie Guy, vendor manager and Microsoft relationship lead added; “We committed to becoming an ADR (Authorised Device Reseller) from the outset and have seen many rewards of our investment in time and resource to Hub. We are a Gold Partner for Devices, have both a Microsoft qualified P-SSP and P-TSP in house and have recently become part of the exclusive Managed Meeting Room programme."
