‘Call for Input’ made on the future spectrum needs of the PMSE sector
Ofcom’s annual Plan of Work includes a ‘Call for Input’ on the future spectrum needs of the PMSE sector in the UK. Ofcom’s review will look at the future of UHF spectrum (470–694 MHz) and PMSE’s use of it, and decisions will be made based on this work, and soon.

The British Entertainment Industry Radio Group (BEIRG) is working to secure access to the spectrum for the UK's creative industries.

The PMSE sector relies on this spectrum 24/7, and access to it is under continued scrutiny pending future changes to digital terrestrial TV (DTT). The Call for Input provides an important opportunity to gather data and ensure collective voices are heard.

Manufacturer, freelancer, rental company, production company, venue, promoter, or producers working in live music, TV & film, theatre, corporate events, news, sports, or education, are being asked to contribute.

Those willing to contribute can do so by emailing hello@beirg.org to contribute expertise to BEIRG’s response, so that it can be captured and accurately reflect the scale, breadth and diversity of the PMSE Sector in our response to Ofcom.
