AVnu Alliance, the industry consortium driving open standards deterministic networking through certification, has announced pro audio manufacturer L-Acoustics has joined the Alliance.
The French company aims to make a substantial impact to the growth of the Audio Video Bridging/Time Sensitive Networking (AVB/TSN) standards in partnership with existing AVnu Alliance members.
Genio Kronauer, head of the Electronics department at L-Acoustics, said: “We are excited to join the AVnu Alliance, as its philosophy matches our goals. At L-Acoustics, we have fully reviewed the options for audio network technologies. We believe in standards and interoperability, so IEEE’s AVB/TSN standard, certified by the AVnu Alliance, is a natural choice for us.
“We believe that L-Acoustics’ high-end user-base will bring significant contribution to growing the AVB/TSN market in the professional domain.â€
In addition to certification, Alliance members have access to compliance tools, testing plans, and test suites enabling early internal testing. Members may also benefit from participating in member-only plug fests, offering a unique hands-on opportunity for engineers to test connectivity and interoperability.
“Having a renowned pro audio industry expert like L-Acoustics on our membership roster is invaluable as we continue to push the AVB/TSN certified ecosystem forward,†said Yong Kim, AVnu Alliance chairman. “L-Acoustics’ forward-thinking approach paired with their global influence will provide insight and connections to our Pro A/V segment.â€
