Amptown System Company (ASC) has appointed Kai Klöppel as CFO, while founders Peter Matthes and Ulrich Müller step down as CEOs and join a newly established advisory board.
Leif Witte, remains as CEO, responsible for marketing, sales and business development. Klöppel takes charge of finance, management, and organisation divisions.
Klöppel has a master's degree in business administration from the Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences) Lüneburg, Germany as well as a master's degree in business administration from the Open University Business School in Milton Keynes, Great Britain.
He been a senior manager at Munich-based management consultant Dr. Wieselhuber & Partner and CEO of a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a French manufacturer of technical and medical gases.
Witte said: "Working together with Kai Klöppel on a common project I had the opportunity to get to know and appreciate him. We are team players – Kai Klöppel who with his strong analytical skills is capable of improving the transparency of operational processes, and I with my ability to open up new markets for ASC and to build a reputation for the company as a 'networking' specialist.”
Klöppel added: "My efforts will be focussed on sustaining what has singled out ASC in the past on the one hand and on further enhancing the professionalism of the services provided on the other. To listen intently, identify requirements, and provide guidance when and where needed are essential steps I intend to follow to ensure that the staff will be working together efficiently and the company management will be proceeding on the road to success.“
Matthes will continue to assist ASC in an advisory capacity and Müller will still provide expertise to the maritime division and play an active role in the company, developing the key account management for the segment with Malte Polli-Holstein.
