Bluesound Professional and Moodsonic launch wellness Listening Room at TED2026
An immersive AV installation focused on calm and relaxation is featuring at the TED2026 conference in Canada.

Powered by Bluesound Professional and Moodsonic, the Listening Room offers a retreat for attendees at the thought leadership event held from April 13-17 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

The installation features generative biophilic soundscapes from Moodsonic, delivered through eight Bluesound Professional BSP200 speakers.

Designed as a tropical rainforest, the 10m x 11m space combines ambient lighting, drapery and adaptive audio to create an immersive environment for mindfulness.

BluOS serves as the control and management platform, handling consistent playback and flexible sound distribution.

Sensing microphones allow the soundscape to adapt dynamically to activity in the room, while NETGEAR switches simplify deployment through onboard, preconfigured network profiles tailored for Bluesound Professional products.

Graeme Harrison, vice president of Bluesound Professional, said: “By combining Moodsonic’s soundscaping expertise with BluOS’s cutting-edge wireless platform, we have created an environment where sound and technology enhance attendee experiences.

“We are excited to see the potential impact of these soundscapes on visitors, offering them a chance to truly decompress during the conference.”

Showcased in a commercial setting, the installation also underscores the growing relevance of biophilic design and mindful living in personal spaces.

It highlights how immersive soundscapes could be incorporated into environments like home spas, meditation rooms and multifunctional living environments.
