ATEN unveils 16x16 matrix switcher

ATEN will unveil its VM1600 matrix switcher for the first time in the UK at the Midwich Technology Exposed show.

The company claims it is the world’s first controller that enables users to instantly switch between, and simultaneously control, up to 16 video sources and 16 displays through expandable I/O boards on a single chassis.

The VM1600 is claimed to be the only 16×16 modular digital matrix seamless switch available that can reliably monitor or broadcast time-critical activities. It also has a unique, built-in scaler function so that video outputs can be scaled up or down to fit in variable screen layouts and arrangements, making it suitable to distribute to videowalls.
