Christie opens Cannes 2010 festival

The new Christie Solaria series of digital cinema projectors have provided digital screening for the Cannes Film Festival’s opening film. Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood” opened Cannes in full 2K projection. The film was screened on the Christie Solaria CP2230, featuring DLP technology from Texas Instruments.

Christie will be providing digital technology for all the films screened at the 63rd Cannes International Film Festival and recently reached the milestone of having 11,000 active 2K digital cinema installations around the world.
