Audio-Technica warns of stolen goods on market after theft
Audio-Technica is warning that a number of stolen 2000 Series wireless systems could be on the market after a break-in at its Leeds, UK site.
The robbery occurred on July 23 when ATW-2110AFEU systems with EU power supplies were stolen from a vehicle parked outside a warehouse facility.
Audio-Technica is advising retailers to be vigilant when purchasing 2000 Series wireless products and to be wary of approaches from parties not usually dealt with offering them for sale.
Audio-Technica’s assistant marketing manager, Tom Harrold said, “The fact that the stolen systems have European power supplies will make them stand out in the market, so it should be easier for retailers to identify if they’re being offered stolen goods.”
The company asks that anyone who believes they may have been approached to purchase stolen 2000 Series products to contact its UK office on +44 (0)113 277 1441 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, if in the UK, they can contact West Yorkshire police on 101 (non-emergencies) quoting crime number 13130303528.”
