Ateis breaks into VC with Tukans
Ateis UK has appointed Tukans as sole distributor for its ECS-Teleconference range in a bid to crack what it describes as a “specialised sector”. The AV distribution company is based in York, UK and specialises in tele- and voice-conferencing.
ECS (echo cancellation system) is aimed at the general conference market. However, Ateis is also looking to move into the boardroom and specialised commerce sectors.
Yvonne Womersley, director of Tukans, said: "The financial sector in particular has embraced conferencing technology and we are sure that the ECS with its flexible configuration options, VoIP capabilities and bespoke audio configuration software will offer this market, and others where international trading is a daily occurrence, a product that is technically superior, more economical and works in the most demanding of installations."
"We believe sound is the most important element in conferencing," she continues. "Many meetings can take place without pictures but the audio is imperative. Users are now appreciating more natural and high quality sound, which is driving up the adoption rate for conferencing equipment."
Neil Voce, sales director of Ateis UK, said: "Conferencing is a very specialised area and we needed a partner with the experience and understanding of the market and its applications to ensure that the ECS-Teleconference range is successful.
