Hurrairah bin Sohail discovers how Loudimage delivered a projection system for the new Rakuten offices in Singapore to handle townhall meetings.

Rakuten Asia Pte. Ltd. moved to its new office in the heart of Singapore’s central business district. Integrator Loudimage was contracted to help provide the audio visual systems for the space. Work was started in July 2015 and completed in time for Rakuten to officially move in on August 24, 2015.

Dawn Wong, HR manager, Rakuten Asia, talks about the AV requirements of the office: “In the new office named “Crimson House Singapore”, we have housed a number of sister companies together with Rakuten. We needed projection solutions and screens for the purpose of meetings and a weekly town hall. The AV solution requires must provide both simple functionality and a common control system from a central location so that different companies can manage the system effortlessly.”

Wong also explains other requirement for the projectors: “Being a Japanese company, we were also looking for a projection that was environmentally friendly as well as being cost efficient.”

Keeping the requirements and the briefs in mind, Loudimage chose eight Casio XJ-M251 projectors and five Remaco PRO projection screens along with three older screens retained from the older office installation. Kramer switchers manage the inputs and outputs while user laptops serve as the inputs.
